Whether you're a tool expert or merely a novice, a little knowledge
never hurt anyone. Each month we feature a different mystery item -
items not readily recognizable to most people. Often, the item
will be specific to a particular industry or trade. For that reason, we
generally provide a hint to get you started. Winners receive a Busen
Restoration magnet.
If you've got an item you're not quite sure about, e-mail a pic to us at info@busenrestoration.com or simply click here.
We'll do our best to identify it and give you some background on it. We
may even feature it as a mystery item on the website. We look forward
to hearing from you! Want to catch up on past mystery items? No problem! Just click on the month you want to review.
* To date, May's mystery item (shown below) remains a mystery. We'll continue taking guesses until someone figures it out. In the meantime, we're forging ahead to June. See you June 4!
May's mystery item comes with no clues . . . because we don't know what it is. Fortunately, we have several good pics. We thought we'd choose the underside as the main pic because the protrusion on the bottom is likely key to identifying the tool. To enlarge, click here.
We'd like to thank Steve S. of Aptos, CA, for providing this month's item!
This pic shows the tool upright and presumably from the front. The rear is curved, with the metal in the front forming a right angle.
